Record what you did, including the unit and variation. A useful log makes the next session easier to choose.

Keep targets and results separate
A target of 8–12 repetitions is a plan. Completing 10, 9 and 8 is a result. If you only write the target, you lose the information that could help you decide what to do next time.
Our digital log keeps the suggested range visible while giving each working set its own completed-repetition and load fields. Mark a set done only when you have performed it; blank fields remain blank in the export.
Make the load comparable
Record kilograms or pounds consistently. For a dumbbell exercise, choose a convention such as weight per dumbbell and keep using it. Machine stack numbers are specific to the machine and should not be compared as though every system has the same resistance.
Time-based movements need seconds rather than repetition counts. Note the movement variation in your exported plan so that a change in support, equipment or range does not look like an unexplained change in performance.
Review the pattern, not one difficult day
Look across several sessions. A busy day, poor sleep or a change in equipment can make a single entry unrepresentative. The log is a reference for decisions, not a score for your character.
Download a CSV if you want to keep a spreadsheet, JSON for the complete plan, or the calendar file to reserve training days. Saving in the browser is optional and does not create an online account.
Bring one useful question to the next session
Separate targets from results. Keep units and variations. Review comparable sessions. Keep the guide beside your own record so you can see which part of the decision still needs information.
The worked example below is hypothetical. Replace its inputs with the quantities or circumstances you actually know; do not turn an illustration into a personal training or nutrition prescription.
Compare the decision.
| What to compare | Useful check | Keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Target | 8–12 repetitions | The intended range |
| Result | 10 / 9 / 8 | What was completed |
| Context | Per dumbbell, same variation | Makes the comparison usable |
AN ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE
Targets and results are separate
For an illustrative exercise, a target of three sets of eight to twelve is logged as 10, 9 and 8. The session contains 27 completed repetitions. Copying 12 into every box would incorrectly record 36.
Take this with you.
- Separate targets from results
- Keep units and variations
- Review comparable sessions
Your questions, answered.
Does this planner sync between devices?
No. It can save locally on the browser you choose and export files. It does not upload your workout log.
Will the calendar send reminders?
The website exports all-day events. After importing them, choose times and reminders in your own calendar application.
How can I put this guide into practice?
Separate targets from results. Then use the related tool with the assumptions and limits described in the guide.
